Aquarina is an exciting 18 hole regulation course located at the Aquarina Beach & Country Club facility in Melbourne Beach, Florida features 4,302 yards of golf for a par of 62. The course designed by Charles Ankrom and opened in 1996 is on the Ankrom believes is "... destined to become one of the finest mid-length courses in the Southeastern U.S.". Aquarina is a daily fee golf course with an 'Open to Public' guest policy.
Aquarina Beach and Country Club Golf Course follows the natural terrain of the land and features somewhat undulating greens and fairways. Play in 100 acres of natural barrier island, in South Melbourne Beach, in the midst of the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge. Meandering through the native oak and sable hammocks, dunes and marshes, our challenging mid-range course appeals to golfers of all levels. Four tee positions put a different texture on each hole, so you can enjoy the course day after day, year after year. There are wetlands located around the course; including two holes require a tee shot from off a dock-style tee and over wetlands. Wildlife on the course includes a bobcat family, horned owls, snapping turtles and alligators. In addition, a rare Florida Panther is seen from time to time.
Is it the fantastic location in South Melbourne Beach on the barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon (home to the Intracoastal Waterway). Is it the great cooling breezes in the summer from the prevailing easterly winds? Is it the abundance of the Mother Nature found on the course in the flora and fauna? Could it be simply that it is just a great golf course located in paradise? This 18 hole golf course offers a perfect balance of wildlife and home sites. On any given hole Mother Nature mixes in harmony with home sites along the course. There is still the opportunity to build your dream home along the 3rd & 4th holes in Hawks Nest and on the 10th hole of the golf course in Maritime Hammocks.
